igecongllien
elevator door and elastic fabric.
2,10m x 1,50m
"igecongllien" is a site installation where visitors experience a continually evolving spatiality when using a public elevator. The elastic fabric attached to the mechanical door creates a new spatiality inside the elevator. Every time the door opens the space expands, the same happens when there is a human body giving the fabric a new form. When the door closes, the inner area will be reduced by half, allowing visitors to experience the elevator used in daily life differently.
Igecongllien is the Spanish pronunciation of the mandarin 一個空间
